Some HEIC variants cannot be decoded by the included library. Only the first image from a multi-image file is exported. Metadata is not preserved. Large batches may exceed device memory.

Questions and troubleshooting
Are location and camera metadata preserved?
No. This conversion does not preserve the original metadata. Keep the HEIC original if dates, camera details or other metadata matter. Only the first returned image is used for a multi-image file.
Why does a HEIC file fail to convert?
HEIC variants differ and the decoder does not support them all. Try one smaller photo to rule out memory pressure. Renaming a file to .heic does not convert its contents.
What we checked
A sample HEIC produced JPG and ZIP downloads. A live Arabic-page check also exported a 1,280 × 854 PNG. Checked October 1, 2026 in Chromium.
