Questions and troubleshooting
Can I preserve a transparent background?
A transparent source can retain transparency in WebP. Check the preview and downloaded file in an app that displays transparency. This tool exports a still image and does not preserve animation.
Why does conversion fail or make a larger file?
WebP encoding must be supported by the browser. Try a current browser and a smaller image if it fails. Highly compressed source files can become larger; keep whichever result fits your quality and size needs.
