Find savings and the final price after one percentage discount, using your chosen display currency.
Enter values, then calculate.
How the calculation works
Enter a nonnegative original price and a discount from 0% to 100%. Savings = price × discount ÷ 100. Final price = price − savings. Values are calculated before display rounding; monetary results show two decimals even for currencies commonly shown without decimals. Currency selection does not convert amounts.
Example and verification
A price of 200 with a 15% discount saves 30 and leaves 170. A 0% discount leaves the price unchanged; a 100% discount makes the final price zero.
Software checks cover the example, invalid input, zero or boundary cases, and reset in Chromium. No physical measurements or all-browser certification are claimed.
Scope and limitations
This covers one discount. Shipping, tax, minimum-spend rules and merchant rounding are excluded. Sequential discounts apply to the reduced amount: 20% followed by 10% is 28% off overall, not 30%. Check the actual checkout total.
Common questions
Can I enter a discount greater than 100%?
No. This calculator treats discounts as a reduction between zero and the original price.
